What is Bikram Yoga?

Bikram Yoga is the “original hot yoga”. Bikram Yoga is often different from “hot yoga” as it is the formal grouping of a 26 posture/2 breathing exercise series. The series is always 90 minutes and is always taught in 105 – 110 degree heat. Unlike some yoga practices where you work only specific parts of your body, through the 26 Bikram postures, you will work your entire body “inside out, bones to skin.”

Bikram Yoga is one of the safest yoga practices around. At The SweatBox, all classes are taught by trained, certified instructors. Each posture prepares you for the next one, so you are working safely, thoroughly, step by step through your whole system. A regular Bikram Yoga practice will help you build your flexibility, strength and stamina. It is a miracle cure for back pain and knee injuries.
