After years as a performer and theater artist, Alyssa found that hot yoga was actually the only rehearsal she never wanted to skip. She trained and was certified to teach in Manhattan in 2009, and she taught vinyasa and hot yoga in NYC for five years before heading west to Wyoming. Out west, Alyssa cultivated experience in yoga outreach, running several yoga class series' for a rehabilitative parole program and juvenile facility. Alyssa believes that yoga really is a practice meant to help and strives to teach in a way that makes it accessible to everyone. As a teacher, Alyssa seeks to create space for yogis to feel an authentic connection to themselves and their bodies.
