Christina attended her first Traditional Hot Yoga class back in 2012 and fell in love. Within weeks she was taking back to back 90-minute classes, absorbing as much as she could before her introductory month special ran out. After falling off the yoga train for a few years during college, Christina returned to her practice in 2016 to rebuild strength after having a major surgery. But the yoga provided much more than physical strength – it taught her powerful lessons in acceptance, patience, and self-love, and provided her with valuable breathing techniques to get her though any challenge on or off the mat. Christina especially credits her yoga practice for helping her train to run her first full marathon in 2017.
In fall of 2017, Christina completed her 200 hour Classic 26 (Traditional Hot Yoga) teacher training and has been honored to teach classes ever since. Christina aims to create a playful and encouraging environment within each class, championing her students to be their best self while encouraging patience and acceptance with themselves along the way. Christina loves running and lifting weights at the gym, but the yoga provides an inner peace and self-connection that she doesn’t find anywhere else. Not to mention the community and positive vibes she feels every time she walks into the studio and practices next to her fellow yogis. Christina is thrilled to be joining The SweatBox community, and excited to teach and practice with you all.
