"When I took Erika's class I was so sore the next day. I used muscles I didn't even know I had. I love to take her class because I can tell I'm really improving my technique."- A SweatBox Student

Originally from Seattle, Erika moved to Berlin in her mid 20s in search of something-- real freedom, or adventure, or maybe a reason for living life, when her existential suitcase was feeling pretty heavy. It was in Berlin that Erika found her way to her first yoga class.  Yoga gave her the tools to sit with her pain, and to understand that staying put is the way to move through it.

A twice-a-week yoga practice quickly turned into a daily one, and now yoga is a fundamental part of Erika's life. She received her 300-hour Jivamukti Yoga teacher certification in London in 2012 and her 800-hour Jivamukti certification in Berlin in 2013. Since then she's trained and taught extensively in both Jivamukti and Ashtanga yoga in Europe and Tel Aviv, and is always learning, always a student. Erika is very happy to be in Seattle, sharing this practice back at home.
