Traditional Hot Yoga

THY (Bikram Yoga) is a set sequence of 26 postures, 2 breathing exercises, from the Hatha yoga tradition, done in a 105 degree room for 90 minutes. This class consists of postures held statically, focusing on alignment and strength. This class is designed for beginners and is open to all levels. The class is the same sequence every time, it’s the students’ body that changes. This style of yoga was created by Bishnu Ghosh (the brother and pupil of Paramahansa Yogananda) and his student, Bikram Choudhury, shared it with the world.

Power Hour

This is the 60-minute version of the Traditional Hot Yoga (Bikram) sequence of 26 poses and 2 breathing exercises. The same sequence, just one set of most postures.

Hot Hybrid

The Hot Hybrid is a fusion of Vinyasa and the THY(Bikram) postures...some poses you flow through, some are held static. Great introduction into both styles of yoga. This class is open to all levels of practitioner. Practiced in a 95-100 degrees.

Hatha

Hatha yoga typically involves a set of physical postures and breathing techniques, practiced more slowly and with more static posture holds than perhaps a Vinyasa flow. Challenging, yet accessible for all levels of practitioner. This unheated class takes place in The SweatBox Loft - wear layers - and pre-registration is required.

Vinyasa

Join us for 60 minutes of Vinyasa flow. This powerful class consists of traditional Ashtanga postures partnered with breath. Unlike THY (Bikram) or Ashtanga, this class is not a set series and can vary based on the teacher and the focus/theme for that day. Come prepared to build your strength and flexibility - physically AND mentally. Appropriate for all levels. We offer Vinyasa in the heated main studio (90-95 degrees) and in the unheated Loft studio. Please confirm which studio during booking.

Bhakti Vinyasa

Bhakti - one of the four paths of yoga - emphasizes the bond between students and the focus of their devotion. It's a heartfelt practice that facilitates deeper connections with the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Along with a creative vinyasa flow, a Bhakti class may include devotional chanting, breathwork and meditation. Bhakti Vinyasa classes are both energizing and calming, leaving students with a curiosity for what exists beyond the constructs of our physical reality - into the realm of infinite possibility. These classes are meant for students of all levels and prioritize accessibility and inclusivity. Held in the unheated Loft studio - wear layers.

Yin

Yin is the dark side of the moon compared to a sun/yang energy of a Vinyasa or THY class. This is a slow-moving class, where the focus is on finding stillness in postures held for long periods of time. A Yin yoga class uses props like blocks or bolsters to open joints and connective tissue, allowing the muscles to relax. Open to all levels of practitioner. Yin classes are held in the unheated Loft studio - wear layers - and pre-register.
